Clinical Supervision for LCMHC Associates

Grow into the clinician you're meant to be — with a supervisor who invests in more than your hours.

Who This Is For

You've Earned the Credential. Now Build the Career.

You passed the exam. You hold the LCMHC-A. And now you're facing the part no graduate program fully prepares you for: becoming the clinician you envisioned, one session and one supervision hour at a time.

Clinical supervision at Thriving on Purpose is designed for provisionally licensed counselors in North Carolina who want more than a signature on their hours log. Whether you're navigating your first agency role, building toward private practice, or finding your clinical voice, supervision here is where your professional identity takes shape.

Your Supervisor

Supervision Backed by 13+ Years of Clinical Practice

Monica L. McNeill, MA, LCMHCS, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and the Founder and Clinical Director of Thriving on Purpose. With more than 13 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma-informed care, culturally affirming frameworks, and women's wellness, Monica has guided provisionally licensed counselors from their first supervised sessions through to full, independent licensure.

Her supervision draws on the full range of her work — private practice ownership, corporate training and consulting, and therapeutic horticulture programming — giving supervisees a mentor who understands not just clinical skill, but the profession's many possible paths.

The Approach

More Than Hours. Mentorship.

Supervision at Thriving on Purpose is built on three commitments:

Trauma-informed, from the inside out.

You'll learn to apply trauma-informed principles with clients — and to recognize how vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout show up in yourself. Sustainable clinicians are made in supervision.

Culturally affirming, always.

Supervision here honors who you are and who your clients are. We examine culture, identity, and context as central to clinical work, not a footnote to it.

Whole-clinician development.

Case conceptualization, documentation, and ethics fluency matter. So do your confidence, your boundaries, and your vision for your career. Supervision addresses all of it.
